The One Game, One Community weeks of action have been launched and grants are now available to help you plan a project as part of this October’s activities.

One Game, One Community grants are available to groups across the country as part of October's One Game, One Community weeks of action.

Grants of up to £1000 are available to help fund activities that raise awareness of the One Game, One Community weeks of action, use sport to tackle discrimination and social exclusion and celebrate the diversity of the game.

Projects previously awarded funding have included drama productions, youth forums, photography projects, educational programmes and anti-racism themed football tournaments.

Who can apply?
One Game, One Community grants are available to a wide range of organisations including community groups, schools, youth clubs, tenants associations and other grassroots bodies.

You must also be working to benefit or engage young people, ethnic minorities, estates- based projects, refugees and asylum seekers or others under-represented in the game.

Larger organisations’ applications, (such as local authorities, County Football Associations and professional football clubs) will only be permitted if working in partnership with grassroots clubs or community groups with the community group being the main applicant.

Applications should meet the following targets and objectives:
> Raise awareness of the weeks of action within your community.
> Help to highlight, challenge or resolve issues of discrimination or social conflict.
> Celebrate diversity and inclusion

Think creatively about the type of project you would like to organise. We particularly welcome initiatives that use the medium of football as an educational tool .
